Diagenetic Origin came into existence when Andreas, a hard core/punk drummer, got deeply involved in techno via the electronic music scene in Norrköping, Sweden. After meeting Adam X in Berlin while painting graffiti together, he was inspired to make his own vision of techno come alive and started taking production more seriously to shape his ideas and approaches into solid outputs that carries the genetic makeup of Diagenetic Origin. With three well-received EPs (and more to come) released on Adam X's Sonic Groove imprint, Diagenetic Origin's productions and in particular his live sets can be characterized as hard, dark and energetic techno, highlighting his unique background as a drummer - rhythmically edgy and challenging beat that goes well beyond 4/4 mixed with long drawn out captivating melodies. |
